The DIT BOX Mk5 by Upgrade Innovations offers digital imaging technicians a portable, powerful solution for live grading and monitoring setups, suited for any location where a camera can go. Developed in collaboration with expert DIT Chris Bolton, this compact system integrates essential tools for managing up to 4 camera feeds, extendable to 6 with optional add-ons. The DIT BOX fits snugly in a modified Pelican Air 1535 case, which can be easily transported, making it ideal for location-based film shoots. With power options and advanced cooling, it supports reliable performance under demanding conditions.


Highly Configurable for Diverse Equipment Needs

Inside, the DIT BOX Mk5 features a custom aluminum frame, allowing flexible mounting of key devices like the AJA KUMO switcher and CalDigit hubs, and ensuring a streamlined workflow for digital color grading and monitoring. The frame's cheese plates, compatible with ARRI and SmallHD mounting patterns, provide versatile attachment options for extra components. With Neutrik D-Series connectors, Ethernet ports, and fan support, this setup offers robust connectivity and cooling, maintaining system efficiency even in tight setups. A dedicated laptop tray secures a MacBook Pro, making the DIT BOX adaptable for varying setups and tech needs.


Reliable, Efficient Power Distribution

The DIT BOX Mk5 includes a custom Cramped Attic 24-volt power module, equipped with separate 20V and 12V kill switches for safer, controlled power management. Dual 24V inputs allow for uninterrupted power swaps, preventing component shut-off. The included Sonnet Echo Express SE I supports single-lane capture cards, while network management is enabled through the built-in NetGear GS105 switch. This setup is designed to optimize performance and control, giving filmmakers a fully equipped mobile DIT cart capable of handling complex workflows seamlessly.
