Weighing just 0.54 kg (1.2 lbs) with an E-mount and 1.05 kg (2.3 lbs) with a PL mount adapter, the Extension System Mini is approximately 70% smaller than the existing VENICE Extension System 2. Despite its reduced size, it maintains the same high-performance image quality, making it ideal for handheld, gimbal, and POV shooting, as well as Steadicam, VR, and stereoscopic applications.

A key feature of the system is its innovative drop-in ND cartridge system, which includes nine high-quality glass Neutral Density filters, ensuring precise exposure control in various lighting conditions. Additionally, the system introduces an improved, detachable 4.5m (14.8 ft) connection cable that is 3.3mm thinner than its predecessor, allowing for easier rigging and more flexible camera placement. For extended setups, an optional 12m (39.4 ft) cable is also available. These features enable filmmakers to achieve dynamic and immersive shots while maintaining the renowned cinematic quality of the VENICE 2.

Beyond its compact design, the VENICE 2 Extension System Mini opens new creative possibilities, particularly in immersive media production. With an E-mount configuration, two units placed side by side replicate the human interpupillary distance of 64mm (2.5 in), making it a valuable tool for stereoscopic imaging and VR content creation.
