Fluid Head

The 30L carbon fiber tripod OConnor replaces the legacy 25L and 35L lines of tripods. Combining the benefits of new-age materials with precision engineering we have created a support system which is both lightweight, yet solid and stable, an ideal fit for the new generation of smaller new Ultimate 1030D & 1030Ds fluid heads.   The head supports 30 pounds worth of camera and accessories at a C.O.G. (center of gravity) 6 inches above the camera platform. The counterbalance system helps prevent the camera from tilting forward or back on the head on its own, and to remain in the position the operator places it without requiring additional effort to hold it in place. The counterbalance system on the 1030D is a stepless system, so it is continuously variable from the maximum weight the head can support all the way down to zero. This makes the 1030D extremely versatile, and suitable for use with heavy ENG style cameras all the way down to lightweight cameras, while maintaining the same operational feel.   The 1030D features interchangeable camera platforms, and comes with a sidelock platform and sliding baseplate as standard. The sidelock platform allows you to mount and remove the camera by lifting straight off the head and not having to slide it in from the back. The fluid head is able to tilt 90 degrees forward and backward, allowing you to tilt the camera straight down and then straight up, all in the same shot. The camera also features independent drag controls and locks for both the pan and tilt. The included 100mm ball base is removable and can be replaced with other available bases. The head features an integrated bubble level for quick leveling confirmation, and the level is illuminated for times you are working in dim light conditions. The new OConnor 60L carbon fiber tripod offers a superior lightweight support option for the OConnor Ultimate 2065 and 2575D fluid heads. The tripod combines the benefits of new-age materials with precision engineering to provide a support system that is lighter weight with fast setup features, yet solid enough to carry large film camera configurations. The Ultimate 2560 Fluid Head Package from OConnor is designed for use with the current crop of digital cinema cameras. Weighing less than 18 pounds, 2560 is capable of supporting camera payloads up to 66 pounds at a 6" center of gravity above the platform, making it well suited for cameras such as the ARRI Alexa in a portable configuration or any lightweight digital cinema camera in a full studio configuration. The head comes packaged with both a Mitchell base and a 150mm ball base adapter with tie-downs for expanded tripod compatibility. It also comes with a large Euro-style quick release for rapid mounting and dismounting of large camera rigs, a pan handle, and a pan handle extension. Crafted for cine-style shooting, the head design delivers cinema standard positioning of controls, including brakes and rosettes, for easy and intuitive use. The 2560 fluid head also features OConnor's patented sinusoidal counterbalance system for accurate balance at any point in the tilt range. Combining the benefits of new-age materials with precision engineering they have created a support system which is both lightweight, yet solid and stable.   OConnor's 1030Ds Fluid Head Package is an updated version of the previous 1030Ds Fluid Head Package, with the difference being a change in top platforms. The new package includes a sideload quick release top platform. The previous package was offered with a mini European quick release top platform. The sideload platform affords an extended range of movement for balancing front-heavy setups. The remaining components of the package are: the 1030Ds head with a 100mm ball base, a 100mm tie down for the base, a 12" pan handle, and an 11.5" handle extension. The ball base is compatible with 100mm tripod bowls and is interchangeable for optional 1030-compatible 150mm bases and with Mitchell flat bases. The handle has a 30° bend.   The head features a +/- 60° tilt range and within this range supports payloads of 53 lbs at 4" above the platform, 41 lbs at 6", and 33 lbs at 8". Tilt drag is stepless. Counterbalance reaches all the way down to zero, useful for lighter cameras. Counterbalance adjusts by a crank-style control that pulls out of the rear of the head. Pan and tilt unlock through a single-handed squeeze. The package is compatible with many 1030 accessories.
